A new large, scientific study finds that it pays off to eat the daily multivitamin tablet.

The study was made with almost 15,000 male doctors over 50 Doctoryears, which respectively have eaten a daily multivitamin supplement or placebo tablets. After 11 years, scientists have been able to establish that the doctors who ate multivitamins did 8% better than their colleagues who got the placebo tablets.

Among the vitamins taken by the doctors Vitamin C contributes to the normal function of the immune system, and vitamins C and E are also involved in protecting cells against oxidative stress.
