The distinctive “zip-up woman” advertisement for BioActive Q10 has impressed both consumers and a jury of professional advertisers in Poland. The ad was so popular, that it won the gold award of the Idea Awards 2010 in the category MEDICINE / Press.
Idea Awards is the only contest of its type in Poland. From the very beginning, the idea behind the contest has been to raise the standards of advertising in the Polish market by awarding the best of them. The competition is held on-line, so everyone can vote for their favorite ad. There are several categories and subcategories in the competition, where the best performing ads from 2010 win.
Throughout the year there has been an initial selection by internet users, who have given their votes on the contest website. Each quarter, the ad which received the most votes qualifies for the finals, where they are assessed by the jury who selects the winner.
Announcement of the winners of the Idea Awards 2010 was held April 11 in Casinos Poland, Hotel Hyatt in Warsaw. Peter Kaminski, Country Manager of Pharma Nord Poland was present to accept the award on behalf of the entire Polish team.
“I am very surprised and happy that we won this award. We did not submit it to the competition ourselves, so someone must have seen our ad and liked it so much that they nominated it on the competition website,” Peter Kaminski says.
The success of the campaign is not only visible in the form of the award, but also in the BioActive Q10 sales figures, which are up from last year.
