What is Antox?
Antox is a nutritional supplemented for special medical purposes. It is used for dietary management of deficiencies of vitamins, selenium and amino acids.
Each tablet contains 480 mg of methionine, 120 mg of ascorbic acid, 38 mg of vitamin E, and 50 mg of highly absorbable selenium from the patented selenium yeast, SelenoPrecise.
The recommend daily intake of active ingredients in Antox is high (6 tablets) as it is a specially formulated dietary supplement designed to meet human requirements for the above-mentioned basic nutritional antioxidants and for methionine. Antox with its content of Vitamin C, vitamin E, and selenium can be used for certain conditions associated with oxidative stress.
Antox is generally considered safe in the recommended dosage.
About amino acids and methionine
Amino acids are a group of crystalline, water-soluble substances that are characterized by containing at least one amino group (an organic nitrogen-containing compound) and at least one carboxylic acid group (a slightly acid, carbonic compound). Some amino acids are building blocks of proteins.
Approximately 20 different amino acids are included biologically in the human body. Eight out of the 20 are essential, which means they are needed by the body but we are unable to synthesize them and therefore must get them from our diet. Methionine is a sulfur-containing essential amino acid.
